I found an article at the site noted below about NASCAR over the years, and one fact mentioned in there surprised me: Jaguar has 1 victory in NASCAR! Does anybody know when that was? Also note that Olds' # of wins is also mentioned, and it's still impressive....... In NASCAR's history, 15 car makes have visited Victory Lane. Besides Ford and Chevy, the others are Plymouth (191), Dodge (185), Pontiac (154), Oldsmobile (115), Mercury (95), Hudson (79), Buick (65), Chrysler (59), AMC (5), Lincoln (4), Studebaker (3), Nash (1) and Jaguar (1). www.nascar.com/2005/news/business/07/13/manufacturers/

If I'm not mistaken, Jaguar campaigned a few XK120s in the late 1940s and early 1950s in tons of race series (i.e. Sebring, Le Mans, NASCAR, etc.) all over the world. It's probably from that time period. I don't see too many Jeff Gordon Edition S-Types in Jag's future... ;D

Thanks for finding that. After having read that article you referred to, I think it's unusual that NASCAR let sportscars run against sedans in the same event.
