It's definitely toxic stuff you are smelling. Except on cars with leather, I've always found "new car" smell pretty gross. But new leather smells awesome.

But new leather smells awesome. My 2001 is now almost 5 years old & people who ride in it for the first time think that statement describes the leather smell.

Agreed, new leather is the best smell there is. But new cloth, yuck. The stuff they spray can be nasty.

Lol, thats hilarious! I always liked the new car smell.
Incidentally, the Aurora still smelled new when I owned it and the Maxima does as well, which is rather strange. Must be the leather?

Yeah. You can replenish the leather smell by applying Pinnacle Leather Conditioner. It is AWESOME.

Funny story. Many years ago the wifey and I were looking for a new car and liked the brand new Golf model VW, nee Rabbit. The saleman gave me the keys for one to drive all day. I told him I was a salesman (at that time) and would be putting on a lot of miles. He said no problem. Well as the day wore on, the adhesives gassing out made me sicker and sicker. But he had lent me the car without even a deposit so I felt obligated to show up with the wife that night. We haggled a bit on price and he made his best offer and said, "Whatta think about that?" I said I felt sick and ran to the restroom and threw up. The next day I bought a fabulous smelling Honda Accord.

What a hoot! Well, of course, sorry to hear about the experience, but that's pretty funny now Dan. :-)
