Castrol Super-Clean - tough to rinse but if you want it clean (anything) then this is the stuff.
197,000 miles and mine are as clean as new.

Orange Blast! Works really good.
However long term rim cleaning is helped by upgrading your brakes, I get zero brake dust with x-drilled/slotted brakes with ceramic pads.

There use to be a neighborhood dog that peed on my driver's front wheel all the time -- it worked pretty good where it hit the chrome but left residue on the tire. I guess ya can't have everything.

I use an all-purpose Mother's Polish. It might be designed for paint (although the label doesn't specify) but it works great on my chrome. It even removed some OLD baked-on brake dust that I thought had ruined the finish (turned out not to be the case). It took a good amount of elbow grease and a couple applications of the polish, but it came off and my rims look good as new. ;D

A friend of mine uses Tidy bowl blue for his chrome rims. Hmmm - that would take care of the dog pee residue as well...

I use regular car wax and it hold up well. Simple rinse and wipe, they sparkle.

Castrol Super Clean diluted 1:6 with water for the rims if they are really dirty...but usually by the time my summer wheels get mounted on the car, they have 4 or 5 coats of Klasse Sealant Glaze. If that is done, I only ever clean them with what's left in the bucket after a car wash. If I don't have Klasse on there and I need to add some protection after a wash, I toss on a coat of Meguiar's #20 Polymer Sealant. The sealant itself is a light cleaner in case I missed anything, and if you give it a half hour or so to dry it is the one of the easiest producst to buff off that I have ever used, which is important when your squatting down to do it. It fairly durable and really does add some sparkle to the wheels, though not as much as the Klasse.

so far on my new ones a simple wash takes care of any dust or marks. they look great and still look brand new. i should though get my brakes changed out cause the brake dust is killing me. i got the cheap brake pads and rotors.

Except I use Meguiar's #36 to clean them(which they had on eBay recently for super cheap! woohoo!). And I usually only get one coat of Klasse SG on there, as my wheels are year-round. And in a pinch, I use Meguiar's MPPP as I've never tried #20. But it works about the same, easy on easy off and leaves a nice finish that is pretty durable. Klasse definitely gives a unique look to the silver paint on the wheels. It's such an interesting product. (I have it on the Aurora as we speak, it looks interesting).

i've been using mother's chrome polish, only because it was the cheapest well known brand at wal-mart, heh.
i like it, the shine doesn't last very long though, maybe a couple of days of good shine, then it gets full of dirt.

Cool. I got some of the Meguiars NXT Chrome polish, and that Mothers Power-ball; we'll see how it works out.
