Proboards (the service that hosts ACNA) has recently integrated a Google search utility into the forums. It is optional, but Aurora40 has enabled it for now to see how it works out. You'll see the search bar near the bottom of any forum page, with the options "Web" and "aurorah.proboards47.com". By selecting the second option, it should search the entire forum of archived threads. Feel free to try the Google tool out for awhile, to see if it works well and compare it to the standard Search page. Post back here and let us know!

The Google search feature is good. I tried it as soon as I saw it. I picked a topic which was being discussed here about a year ago, wood shift knobs, and googling ACNA for that brought back more results than the ACNA search engine.

You can still use the standard search too though.

I usually use google toolbar (Select search site), but, that's pretty darn handy, I bet!
Hey, I've been meaning to ask, does it help ACNA out at all, if we click on the ads?

Hey, I've been meaning to ask, does it help ACNA out at all, if we click on the ads? No. It helps ProBoards out. ACNA has zero income and zero fixed expenses. Just the donation of time by everyone to discuss interesting things, and the effort by the admins/mods to keep things going smoothly.

Kewl! I saw the Google, but I have so many things Google on my desktop that it didn't register. Works like a charm, I tried it on Auto RX for S&G and brought up threads much easier and faster than the Proboards search function.

Definately an improvement for looking up ACNA threads. Just adjust the settings, push the button, and hang on !!
