I was wondering if anyone on the forum had the 3M clear bra or headlight protection installed on their car. If so, what are your impressions? Is it worth it? Any personal experience on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

I personally have not used it, though I wish I had on my BMW. The one year I was driving mostly highway miles, the nose of my car got stone and sand chips.
I recommend it if you drive on the high way or if your part of the country regularly sands, salts or is under constant construction.
One other thing, they sell DIY kits which are reasonably priced and, of course, conform perfectly to the nose, lights and mirrors of your car.

I have it on my headlights and foglights. I like it. It's been on about 3 years, and there are no chips, etc. I'll probably pull it off one of these days and apply new film.

Thanx for the responses!
40 did you install it yourself or got it profesionally done? Was it expensive?

I did it myself. For something larger than headlights, you'd probably want it installed professionally. I think it was about $50 for the 4 piece kit. I bought an Xpel kit from here: www.properautocare.com/headsaffil.htmlThis is the closest close-up pict I have, though it wasn't a picture of the headlights:

I found a body shop in my area that profesionally installs it: They want $950 for the entire nose! Holy Benjamins Batman, looks like I'll be doing this myself.

For $950 you could repaint the whole front end! Although I suppose they only charge that much b/c there are people out there who will pay it...

That's crazy. Try some other places. I'd say it should be around $200-500 depending on the place, warranty, experience of the shop, etc.
