Don't use any aftermarket sealers. The only recommended sealer mentioned in the shop manual (2001) is GM P/N 3634621, in pellet form. Use 3 pellets when refilling the cooling system.

One of their products is the same as GM's coolant supplement. I wouldn't use any of the other stuff though.
And don't add it to your reservoir. Add it to one of the coolant hoses.
Are you having problems with leaking, though?

The GM pellets are organic, made of almondshell, tumeric, etc. They freely move around the cooling system, and don't harm or react with Dexcool. Many of the aftermarket sealers settle in the bottom of the radiator and heater core and become solids. If you were going for an aftermarket sealer, i'd probably look for something organic like cellulose (paper) or the like.

GM retail is only $4.18, do dealers where you live not have it?

Thanks for the responses it helped me out.
I might as well go the G.M dealer and the proper stuff.
Ohh yeah ......... the cause of this problem was due to an aftermarket rad cap from NAPA.
