So I know that I have tried almost everything under the sun on tires to keep them looking wet and clean. This thread is more towards common products you can find in stores instead of 20 dollar bottles of professional detail products. I own a detailing business and have found a great product but also want to know what other people use.
Dupont Teflon Tire Wet is the stuff that I have been using lately. I have seen cars around town that I have detailed a week or two after doing them and asked my clients and they have said they haven't redone their tires. I have noticed on my car the tires stay wet almost as long as when I use professional product.
Anyways just thought i would share that with you all! Let me know what other detailing products you all use!

I use Meguire's Insane Tire Shine for the tires and then hit the wheelwells with cheapy ArmorAll Tire Foam.

I have noticed on my car the tires stay wet almost as long as when I use professional product. I don't use anything yet but I'm looking for something. I did a lot of research and use 303 aerospace for all of the rubber trim and gaskets but I don't think I will use it on the tires. I'm curious, what is the professional product that you use?

Glipton is a company that sells a good product. Showcar Ultra Blue is also a great product. 303 Aerospace Protectant Lexol Vinylex

303 Aerospace is too expensive to waste on tires! Plus it doesn't last that long.
I tend to prefer a matte look, a black and clean tire, not a glossy one. I mostly just use whatever I don't use on interiors, though I do like Meguiar's #38 a lot. It's not unlike their Endurance gel, but more matte and I think a little less goopy.

If your looking for that matte finish...Dupont actually has that look if you do it right otherwise I foudn that Lexol Vinylex has a good matte finish.

Yeah, I've a couple bottles of Vinylex. It's a little shinier than some stuff, though not too bad. Mostly I use it up on exterior weatherstripping. It's a nice product but it seems to attract a ton of dust if used on the interior.

really? i havent used it on the interior. Actually for the interior I found that meguiars dash and trim polish that comes in a foam can...WORKS amazing! goes on nice and even and looks great.

Here's a picture I took a few years ago of vinyl/rubber and leather products I own or have owned. You could add to it: Lexol Vinylex Meg's Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant Meg's Endurance Meg's High Gloss Endurance Meg's Hot Shine Tire Spray Stoner's More Shine tire spray Pinnacle Vinyl & Rubber Protectant Wolfgang Vinyl & Rubber Protectant Heheh... So I'm pretty much done buying stuff. I'm sure there are plenty of other great products out there, but I've tried enough and own way too much. I've plenty of good enough products to use up before buying anything else. I am curious about Meguiar's Interior Quick Detailer, though.

anything made by Meguiars....i was using their "tire gel", the purple stuff, but i noticed alot of "splatter" onto the paint and that dust was clinging to it, so i now use Meguiars tire shine sprays, i think its called "Insane Tire Shine" and it lasts a long time between applications, even in rain, and keeps the tires looking clean and black...i have tried many other brands, but Meguiars is the best

I use Armorall tire foam to clean the tires surface. Then I sray a bit of Black Magic tire spray or Meguires tire spray on a rag and wipe the tire down. Sounds like I'm going to have to pick up a bottle of Insane tire shine and the Dupont as well! ;D

I use Meguire's Insane Tire Shine for the tires and then hit the wheelwells with cheapy ArmorAll Tire Foam. Same here, apply the Tire Shine with a foam applicator made for this purpose and I apply the Armor-All with the used Maguire's Leather Cleaner sheets, after doing my seat's.

Are those applicators the black and yellow Eagle One's by any chance? I can't find them anymore, and just use a wax appl.

Yea, black and yellow.... not sure of the brand. They work really good for detailing. I don't like spraying the tires and having to deal with the over spray, so I spray the foam and only apply where needed. They come in handy for other detailing as well, because of their unique shape. At just a few buck's a set.... well worth it.
