Not to long ago I posted a problem of mines that my 98' aurora kept cutting off when my thermostat got to about 200 to 210. I took it to the shop and they couldnt find the problem at all. Well two days ago i got an oil change and put in some stp fuel injector cleaner, lucas tune up in a bottle, and some lucas real octane booster. Now i dont know whats goin on but im getting a much smoother ride and great gas mileage and........my car doesent cut off as much maybe once or twice a day as opposed to every stop light. My problem was supposed to be sensors, tune ups, or somethin major. Can anyone explain whats goin on here.

Maybe a bad fuel injector? Since cleaning them sort of helped. Try cleaning the throttle body 2.

Cars are funny that way sometimes, developing these weird gremlins that cannot be explained. However if you didn't actually fix anything (snake oil in a bottle doesn't count ), unfortunately the problem will probably return. For now, just enjoy the smooth acceleration and constantly-running engine.
