I just had my new cross drilled and slotted brakes, with semi-metallic pads installed today. Made the purchase from R1concepts.com in California about 2 weeks ago. Shipping to north of 49 took a bit of time, but well worth it.
I opted for the beautiful zinc coated rotors and diamond cut slots.
All four corners (pads and rotors) $177 USD. Great deal, I called them to check on my order and they were very helpful. Took the car out for a brief road test on my way back to the office and they seem to be working wonderfully so far. So if anyone wants OE or aftermarket brakes for their Aurora, I would recommend R1.

I figured it would be best to spare you the task. I've been dealing with a lot of front end issues with the car lately my friend, alignment, all new brakes, outer tie rods and a balancing.
Problem = bent rim.
Go figure. I do like my new brakes though, they're wonderful.

Thank you! Sounds like a good deal. How are they holding up?

Great, stops on a dime, and combined with a great set of tires for both winter and summer seasons, the car is surefooted and stops when I want.

I have the same set and I love them. Excellent price for a complete set of brakes let alone a cross-drilled, slotted and zinc coated set.

Got my R1 drilled/slotted rotors installed last week FINALLY, after almost 2 YEARS of the parts sitting in my garage. I'm so pathetic! I honestly had no idea it had been so long until I went back and found the ACNA thread where I talked about buying them. March '06! This was one of those projects I always intended to do myself, and did once (the front rotors/pads) but the new pads pushed the calipers out far enough that they were making contact with the inside of my non-Aurora wheels. D'oh! Old parts were reinstalled in my driveway that day. I bought the appropriate spacers to push the wheels out about 1/8" and never got back to the project. About 2 weeks ago the previous pads officially died and started grinding, so I relented and paid a local shop to do the job. $105 labor per axle, so a little over $200 total. I bought the parts so long ago I forgot what they cost. I'm driving them for a week or two lightly as recommended, and then I'll undertake the somewhat complicated rotor-seasonsing and pad-bedding procedures listed here.

I opted for the Design Rotor Tech drilled and slotted black painted with their ceramic pads. WOW - the car STOPS now! While I was at it, threw in some Energy Suspension end links on the front sway bar - sure did change the feel of the car - it even seems to take the potholes better. $207 delivered for the pads and rotors. $17 for the link kit at Autozone.

I'm gonna be installing R1 brakes on my GTP in the spring. The CompG rotors on the front are freakin huge!

ok, yesterday i got and installed front R1Concepts drilled/slotted/zinced rotors + Akebono ceramic pro-acts (rockauto). well... I AM AMAZED !!! first off, brakes were good rriiight from the start. almost no break in/bedding was required - i was on the road with effective brakes in minutes. secondly, the braking effect this combo have is DRASTIC ! comparing to old regular rotors + semimetallic pads its HUGE difference. Bite is excellent. Well, there was some fade/glazing in first 50 miles, but that's prolly cos i did 2 hard brakings from 100mph to stop =))
Horray R1Concepts !!!!!!!!
