where i live the fuzz likes to pull you over and pull your tint off too if its too dark. so i ran across this stuff at kmart called solar stat. it supposedely stays on with static cling and can be reused over and over again. the stuff is real cheap too...only 17.95 a roll 26" x 78" the only thing i am concerned with is bubbling. bubbles in the tint looks so crummy. anyone ever tried the stuff?

LOL, I can't believe they still sell this stuff! I had it (self installed ) on my first car about 13 years ago. It's cheap for a reason... it'll look kinda purple (not black) from the inside once it's installed, and unless you're a pro you will have bubbles. When I was 16 I didn't care, but I wouldn't want something that cheap now (which is why I have nothing, because I can't bring myself to pay $200 for a real tint job).

i have never paided that much for tint, about 150 a car. We have a shortage of tint shops around here. Ziebart is pretty much the only place available. My boss's cousin is even the manager of the place and could get me a 10% discount, but that's still $180. And that's for rear windows ONLY (side and back).
