Does anyone know if the overall tire height is the same between the 4.0 and 3.5 Aurora? Could someone measure what their overall height is on their 2001+ 4.0 Aurora? Thanks!

I'm not sure. I was just trying to figure out why the 4.0's look like they have less wheel-well gap compared to the 3.5. I measured my tires today and they're exactly the same as Marc's reading, 61.25" I guess the extra weight for the 4.0 Aurora's Drivetrain just make the car a little bit lower in the front.

It could be just an illusion. The tires on the 3.5 cover some of the wheel well gap. But they are black - so they look like part of the wheel well.

Whats the stock tire size for the 3.5L model? If the 2nd gen 4.0 gets a 235/55/17 (at 27.1") perhaps it has something to do with the tranny? (shot in the dark)
Classic stock tire is 235/60/16 (at 27.1") hence my tranny parallel.

The 3.5's tires are 225/60/R16, 26.1 inches tall.

Yea, the 4.0's have bigger/taller tire, with a bigger rim. That would give the visual, as well as physical, difference .
