Ithis is my first post on ACNA. I've looked for a while & thought i caould get the most of the site & my Auror by joining so, Hello all.
Now, my question.
I have a 2001 Aurora, 3.5, v6 with the 16" alloy rims, can anybody tell me where I can find the 17" chrome rims for a better price that GM offers them for.
Thank you all in advance for a great place dedicated to a beautiful car.

Thanks for the info. I saw the 1st gen rims but I couldn't find the 2nd gen. Is that price $337.50 for 1 wheel or for the set?

You'll find good prices on ebay now and then. Remember, the chrome on these wheels is kinda crappy - cheap application and whatnot - so if you get them, make sure they're in good condition. It has a tendency to peel off.

Carlosdelgodo.......The 17" chrome wheel for the 2nd gen is $337.50 each. Lake shore wheel and tires' part number for that wheel is 60421D.

Macadamiaman...Thanks for the heads up. I saw that piece of infor on this forum a week or two ago. I know the chrome work is crap but with a little care, it will make my 01 look a lot better.
Marc...you must be the Guru of Auroras. I see all the helpful information you post all around this place. I was able to find the rims but WOW. $337.50 each is about the price I've been getting from ecerywhere, even the factory. I might have to scout the junk yard & hope that (I cant believe I'm going to say this...) somebody wrecked a 2nd gen.

Carlosdelgodo.......Thank you for the complement! One other tip: there is a very large yard in Yonkers, NY, that can do a nationwide search for any part if they don't have it in stock. It's possible that they might be able to find the wheels. I have noted their site below. www.sawmillsalvage.com/sawmillwreckers.cfm?TheDealer=660&vehicle=y

Hey carlosdelgodo,
I wouldn't buy 2nd gen chrome wheels. They're expensive and the chrome coating will wear out quick enough too.
If you want the factory look, I'd look for the Intrigue factory chromes. They were made better than the aurora's and you wouldn't know if they came off an Intrigue. Plus, they are easier to find second-hand and cheaper too.

The eBay ones tend to be pretty cheapy chrome jobs. It might be best to buy regular wheels and have them chromed? I know a guy who put the eBay cheapies on his '98. They were good for about two years and then started peeling.

Scottydl...I couldn't agree more. I dont care about the inside of the wheel at all. I wanted chrome without going over the top. I figured that the factory chrome would grab enough attention & look real nice when clean & not be too over bearing.
