Why is it that the back of my wheel caps have final 500 on them?

what the build date on your car? on the inside of the drivers door you should find a sticker with that info

I posted that on a previous thread about wheels. It was just a cost saving move on GM's part. My says the same thing on the back. They used the same backing and just changed the outside covers to whatever they needed to put on the centercap. I found this intriguing especially because I own an Alero Final 500. My car was built in Feb '03.

They used the same backing and just changed the outside covers to whatever they needed to put on the centercap. Must have been for the Intrigue Final 500 then. The Aurora 500 used STS 7-spoke wheels that have a narrow center cap and exposed lugs.

Do the wheels look familiar.
