After looking for a replacement of the OE Michellins @ 62,000mi., I decided on the Yokohama 235/55V/17 YK520 - 60,000mi. with lifetime warrantee ($17.00ea. extra) covers tread & sidewall, total price out the door $698.00. After one week, not happy with the excessive road noise at 50mph >. The handling was satisfactory in wet, dry & light snow conditions. Called the guys back told them I was not happy and they told me to come in and they would replace tires with something I would be happy with. Building on the success of its heritage, the YK520 is a new evolution in performance, offering today’s drivers all-season handling, long mileage and a comfortable ride. The YK520 is ideally suited for sedans and cross-over SUVs. These are what the guys recommended that would best suit my driving needs 235/50/VR17 - 50,000mi. even exchange, no extra out of pocket expense. Had these installed Friday and so far no concerns. I love the way they track and quick to respond with the slightest touch of the wheel. The tire's structure includes twin steel belts cushioned by Goodyear's InsuLayer of spirally wrapped Kevlar(r). Polyester body plies also feature an asymmetric design with a carbon fiber reinforced outboard sidewall to enhance responsiveness and cornering stability while providing flexibility to cushion the ride.

I haven't had much luck with goodyear tires. I had goodyear eagle runflats on my truck (factory vette wheels and tires), 255/45/17 front and 285/40/17 on the back. They felt good when they were new but once I had some miles on them they lost a lot of grip, however I did put them through the kind of driving you wouldn't dream of doing in an aurora. Anyway I hope you put lots of fun, enjoyable miles on your tires Thats cool how they swaped out the tires free of charge.

It can be tough to find a tire that is quite, has performance and mileage too. I drove my brother-in-laws 1997 Aurora and his car had a LOT more road noise than my 1999. I put a premium a quite ride.
