A friend of mine gets Popular Science Magezine and they had a large ad running for pulse plugs. Naturally, they promise more power and better fuel economy. Based on what I have read they took a normal spark plug and added a capacitor. Adding a cap to the circuit will allow the plug to fire all of it's energy at once and thus they claim better performance. The major problems I found is the price ($25.00 a plug) and they require the gap to be set to .040. I think the whole thing is a little sketchy myself. www.pulstarplug.com/

I wouldn't believe it. I saw those in an ad a few months ago. I guess the cheapest way to test it would be to buy just one, then compare it to a stock plug with out ignition systems. Just use one plug wire, and cut power to the fuel pump to the car won't start. Then insolate yourself and hold a plug against ground, and do the same with the pulse plug. See if the pulse one really fires more.

Approach with extreme caution!!
The Aurora is already equipped with a pretty beefy ignition system. You will do just as well by keeping your plugs and wires fresh and using the 200 bucks elsewhere.

Fad fad fad. If they were that great, every sports car manufacturer would be using them from the factory. Anyone remember the hype in the mid-90's when the "V" split plugs came out? And look how popular those are today...

On bench testing these things are impressive but in real work driving there is no noticeable improvements.
