you need to host a picture somewhere like photobucket.com or imageshack for it to work.

As in the signature line? or just in a post? If you want it in a post, you will see just above the "message" area the "upload an image" and the "browse" button. click on the browse button, find the image from your hard drive, and click host it. that will open another window, just follow the instructions there.

If you want an image in your signature line, so it shows on every post you make, you will need to host an image to a "test" thread or somewhere else and copy that url into your profile. to modify your profile, click on your screen name, at the top you will click on modify profile. scroll down to the signature line and paste the url there. watch the size though, I think the maximum size allowed is 150x500. When I copy the URL to the signature it just puts a link to the picture. How do I make the picture smaller because right now it is huge.
sorry for all the questions but I am illiterate when it comes to this stuff.

do you have photoshop or similar program? you can change the size in there. when you upload the image in a test thread, such as this, choose full image (not link to image or thumbnail) and copy the complete url to your signature line in your profile. If you need help resizing the image, send it to me. If you need help putting the image in your profile, I think one of the admins could help you with that. Good Luck!

I fixed your signature for you. Let me know if that's not what you intended, but it sounded like you want the image displayed as your signature, not a link.
