Hello all,
I rarely give compliments to any body shop, but this time I gotta give props to the guys at Autometric Collision (Telegraph Rd.). I have experienced my share of bad body work by a lot of GM and Ford dealerships. I decided to have my vehicle repaired at Autometric after Channel 4 rated them as Michigan's #1 body shop for a few years in a row. There are the certified by BMW, Jaguar, and Mercedes Benz for aluminum body/frame repairs.
I went to check the place out and I could tell the quality right away. The place was spotless and the manager was dress like an office manager. The manager explained all the repairs with great detail. My quarter panel needed to be repaired and he explained the process. I felt confident in their repair process because I work in the automotive stamping business.
I just got my car back today and it looks awesome. Their paint/clearcoat blending at the smallest point at the c-pillar was awesome and their masking was great. The only small flaw is a trim piece that was removed and lost some of its shape. I will take it next week to see if they can adjust it or I might just buy a new one and have them installed. I'm being extremely picky here.
Their attention to detail was incredible. My bumper was replaced because it could not be repaired. My license plate bolts were rusted and they replaced all the bolts in my bumper with new ones. They could have used the old ones, but they did not. They also replace all the burned light bulbs (no charge).
just my 2 cents, G

It's great to hear such a good report. You might want to consider a positive "Letter to the Editor" or something similar in a local newspaper. Good businesses deserve press too (not just the bad ones), and I'm sure they would greatly appreciate the local recognition.
