I took nice roadtrip down to northern Georgia over the Memorial Day weekend. First time I'd had the Aurora out on an extended run since I brought it home from Fla. in February. The car ran great and the trip felt a whole lot shorter than the 4.5 hours it actually took each way. But what really amazed me was the fuel economy I got. The DIC showed an average 29.7 MPG when I got home last night! That was on mid-grade (89 octane) gas, using the cruise control as much as much as possible and running the air conditioning the whole way. Previously, the best highway fuel economy I'd ever gotten was about 26 MPG.

I was running with traffic, mostly 70-75 mph. The car's a '98 model with Autobahn pkg and California emissions. The odometer tripped over to 49,000 miles on the trip out there.
