The wife, kids, and I will be traveling from Houston TX. to Alexander City AL. in two weeks. Driveway to driveway is 753.2 miles. We did this road trip last year in my good ole pile of a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and it was not that bad at all. Took roughly 13 hours to get there and roughly 10 hours to get home. I personally can't wait to take the Turnpike Terror on this journey. I've been burning roadie CD's left and right. I'll try and take some pics on the way and report back with fuel mileage upon our return.

Sure you want to take the Aurora on that long of a trip. I know it will make it but I the the police interceptor is alot more roomy inside. My dad has a Towncar and you could pack 5 bodys inside just the trunk.

Well, the Crown Vic is a little rough since it's the wife/kid's ride. Kids tend to play hell on vehicles ya' know. Plus having dual climate control, cd player, etc. etc. sure will be nice for 12 hours. As we all know, driving this car rarely becomes a bother. Yup, Lake Martin here we come. I have to go see the lighthouse. Where I will be staying is more off of Hwy. 22 but close enough.
