The day started out a little soggy but all of our smiles made the rain go away. Kay, KK, Tubbs, Kit Kat, Kathleen, and now we find out Mary showed up beside myself, Scotty, RustyMutt(Dave), Aurora Rancher(Tony) and Javi Kay and Scotty's wife Heather telling all the scoop on their husbands. Aurora Rancher trying to explain why he was driving to slow for conditions. ;D Just kiddin, this cop on a bike came over and we started talking to him and he called dispatch to meet us at the Payton's Roundhouse. The squad car followed us to this location for a photo op with Auroras Finest. I think Kay winked at one of them On our way to A&W for food and beverages. Some of us returned to Paytons to throw a bag or two or three. [glow=red,2,300] Look what I found in Kays glove box!!![/glow]

This is my favorit pics of the day. It is the only time Kay was silent........ Just kiddin Kay!!! Seriously Kay, I'm just kiddin!! I had a blast with everyone that came to the meet and would do it again in a heartbeat. We have already talked about having a 2009 meet and should go more smoothly, not that there were any problems other than the dam rain.

i really enjoyed your pictures, dave...you got some really great shots.....all the cars look great, and the green Classic with the chrome wheels ( i assume that is Scott's car) how do you get it so shiny? ? that Pace Car is absolutely gorgeous and i love your license plate "Mr Olds 2" It is nice to see ACNA thriving not just here on the site, but in bringing our cars and members together as friends and family in meets like these

Dave, thanks for the great photos! Glad to see I was not the only one caught with food in my mouth (and thanks for editing out the ones I asked you to ;D One question though, is there a way for you to add the pix taken by the other member to your link so they could all be in one spot?

;D yeah, but did you look in my trunk Maybe next year Scotty could "beam up" Captain Kirk! I was showing all the pix to the hubby last night, he was pretty skeptical about how it would go, but thought it looked like it turned out pretty well.

;D Great Day. ;D We were glad we could make it. Ben (my son) and Jacob (his best friend) had a great time. As always on a first meet, anxious we were, but with the love of Auroras, we are all people of the same mind (twisted, slightly) and lovers of cookies, too. Also, Kay the Blue Berry concoction was great. Kay your bean bag arm was in great shape, there at the end. We all need some more practice before we go to a Tournament. The guy, whom built the Bean Bag Boxes, is ready to make them for anyone interested.

;D Great Day. ;D Kay your bean bag arm was in great shape, there at the end. We all need some more practice before we go to a Tournament. Yes it was a great day! My bean bag arm was a tad sore last night and this morning. and I see at church we are having a bags contest with our annual summer fest which is coming up next week end...I may have to give it a go. glad you enjoyed the treats. I was really impressed with your dad/lad cookie creation too! Speaking of impressed, your car looked great, as everyone here has commented, but you all should have heard it I am sure it is what puts the 'ROAR' in A-ROAR-A

btw, where are you?!?! you are the only one who has not yet logged on! Right HERE! Didn't anyone ever tell you patience is a virtue? Shave? I did that morning... that's my 10 o'clock shadow. lol ;D and the green Classic with the chrome wheels ( i assume that is Scott's car) how do you get it so shiny? ? Yep, that's me. My wheel shining trick is simply car wax, after standard cleaning with some spray and a hose. I think in this case it was some Meguiar's cleaner wax I had sitting in the garage, but I've used Mother's and other brands before. Apply (with some elbow grease) to get in and clean the gunk out of the crevices, and after it dries to a haze you wipe back off with a clean rag. Takes about 15-20 minutes per wheel, and the results are better than any other wheel cleaner I've ever used. When we got to the meet Saturday, the weather had been crappy and my car was DIRTY. I was disappointed because my wife and I had spent 2-3 hours the day before getting the Aurora cleaned up ready, only to drive through 2 rainstorms and the muddy aftermath before getting to the meet. Luckily Tony (Aurora Rancher) came to the rescue with a can of waterless car wash (sorry I don't remember the brand, but it's produced by Amsoil I believe). Spray on, wipe off, and the cars were looking GREAT for the photos! Brought the shine right back to my previously polished wheels too.
