Make sure you report back to advise on how its "holding" up. Seems to be good solution!

Make sure you report back to advise on how its "holding" up. Seems to be good solution! I'm sure it will hold well. I used a large 2 inch washer and drilled the hole to make sure it engaged well into the metal part of the bumper. What a difference! It makes the entire front end feel more solid. I think over bumps I could detect some minor rattliing from the loose bumper. Now there are no more rattles. As with any modification I'm sure it's faster too! HA HA!

What a great idea and as Jim said keep us posted on how it holds up. I was wondering though, if it was this fix or something else that caused this...

What a great idea and as Jim said keep us posted on how it holds up. I was wondering though, if it was this fix or something else that caused this... The fix caused the side to bow out slightly, not really as noticeable as the sagging front. I think that years of sagging cause the plastic to stretch out. when it is finally back where it belongs the sides bow out just a little. Like I said though, it looks better this way than with the front sagging and rattling.

IIf you can figure out how to loosen the fasteners holding on the bumper sides, you can slide it back a touch.

I had no idea sagging front ends were a problem for Auroras? I never noticed it on either of mine?

We've been talking about it for a lot longer then that.
I was taking a look at pictures of the car when I first got it, and compared it to recent pictures. There is no further sagging from what was evident 5 years ago. So, I guess it reaches a sagging limit?

all you have to do is pull the inner fender out and loosen the two nuts that hold each side of the bumper on. then push the bumper back to get rid of the bulge then tighten the nuts.this may require a little help from a Friend one to hold the bumper and one to tighten hope that helps

Can I just pull on the fasteners? I don't want to break them.;

The center of the fastener pulls out, and then you can remove the rest of it.

Its too bad there isn't a fix for those of us who don't have front plates. It would look pretty nasty with a bolt hanging out of the front if you didn't have to have a front plate!
