I just book the Les Arends Forest Preserve shelter today. Due to our lovely incompetently criminal governor they have now added a fee to use the facilities that once was free. It is only $35 but it still sucks that we have to pay now. The date for the meet is June 27th 2009. The location has a nice stone shelter/picnic area that is all ours. Here is a link to the preserve. www.kaneforest.com/ForestPreserveView.aspx?ID=32Write the date on your brand new ACNA Calendar if you bought one. Sorry I don't have the tools to add pointers onto the map and I cannot get Mapquest and Google to recognize the address for the preserve correctly, it places it in downtown Batavia. The location on the map is right where it says S. Batavia Ave. by the #2. we are right by the river.

Awesome, thanks for taking care of that! If you paid out-of-pocket for that, any of us who plan on attending WILL get you paid back. 6 more of us, and that's only $5 apiece. So it's OFFICIALLY official. No more bantering on the date, time, or place. Now we just have to wait for the next 5+ months to pass.

Wow Kay, you actually had to write something in one of those 365 open dates on the calendar. Thank God you are washing your hair but how about bathing? Who are you, Elsie the Cow? Why do we have work on our arms? Are we having a Cow Chip throwing contest?

it's 413 miles, Collins how far did you drive to the Springfield meet? It was 240 miles to the Springfield meet, took me 4 hours ish. I've planned this out many times, and I know the route we should take. I'll drive from Lawrence to St. Louis (290 miles for me, will take 4.5 hours) and meet up with you and Randy. From there we will go to Aurora (275 miles, another 4.5 hours.) The only problem is that my mother is having some problems with me going... I'm doing my best but I may not be able to make it to this one. I'll keep you posted!

You'll need earplugs though. It would make my wife so happy.

haha it's a complicated issue oldsnut, I'll let you know! ;D
Tyler, I wouldn't mind coming through Iowa but it's an extra four hours of driving for Lance and Randy... Going through St. Louis makes it all a lot easier! You're a big boy, you can make it!

Kay, Tony, Scotty, Javi any ideas and help would be most appreciated in the planning for what I think will be a slightly larger group than last year.

I still wanna know what you were doing taking a picture of my butt. ewwwww, bro actually, I guess I took pictures of everyones butt . because I took shots from behind everyone as they were playing bags. It was not my intention though to get "butt shots" unlike some (you and Dave) that took pictures of everyone with food in their mouths !!! New rule.....No Food allowed !! *edit* ;D still wondering why you were sticking it out like that ;D or what the heck you were trying to do **edit** ;D Tonys butt ;D

hey i think that this will be a very good meet. The pace car's gonna be there that alone along with a bunch of first and second gens are gonna get TONS of looks. ya I agree with XJS I kinda like food and I didnt know if you knew this kay but some people need that to live on! Taxes are coming in and when they doo I've got a long list of things to do on this car, number one will be fluid flush, then ill be ready to boogey. are we wanting to do a sort of pot luck thing....Cuz I can bring some food in a cooler, I make a mean cheeseball!! and With me working at a grocery store I can get some good deals on soda..like 80 cents a 6 pack. So if we want drinks just make a list and I'll get some. one question though??? I am a clean freak with my aurora, once everybody gets up there is there anyway that we can visit a car wash, after 3 hours on the interstate my car might look clean but road tar, bugs, its making me sick just thinking about it...soo ya my car will need a bath!

And I'm betting there will be some of that waterless car wash and some microfiber towels nearby. That's what saved us last year at picture time... wife and I had spent a good 2-3 hours on the Aurora the DAY before the meet, and that morning we were driving through rain and mud puddles all the way there. But everyone pitched in and we got the cars all sparkling by the time the sun came back out.
