i was checking out the message recovery option. but how do you recover messages that you've sent to others?

I'm not sure what feature you are referring to? I don't see this in the outbox. Can you explain how you get to it?

huh, i don't know. i can't find it now. it sent it to a remote location as a back up file, it took a few minutes to do it. i wasn't hallucinating. it sent me a folder i had to unzip in my email. it said i had 2 weeks i think before it expired.

That sounds like the "Backup Personal Messages." option. If you need to see messages you have sent they are in your outbox.

From this page you can download a backup of all of your personal messages. You may only use this feature once every 30 days for your account.
Here is the process for downloading a backup of your personal messages:
* Click the button at the bottom of this page labeled "Backup Personal Messages." * Your account will be added to a queue for processing. The average time for backups being completed is 2 minutes. * When your personal messages are done being backed up, you will receive a Personal Message in your inbox stating that your messages are ready for downloading. * You have up to one (1) week to download your backup before it is removed from the server.
Our records show that you have not backed up your Personal Messages within the last month, and therefore you may proceed.
You may not be able to see it since you already used your allowance.
