wow only $1.24 a bottle @ wally world and it does wonders. didn't take pics but on a white car it does great. it works better than turtle wax scratch remover paste i will say that. Kit does more than take out scratches, its a good paint cleaner. say goodbye to over spray, wax build up etc.

I bought the same exact product Lance! I was actually looking for plastic cleaner. That one had a tag on it that said head light lens restorer as well. I know it supposed to remove scratches and such on paint. The only thing I used it for thus far is cleaning all the lenses on the Aurora. I must say it does do a heck of a job for it's price.

Lance. When you say you got this stuff @ wally world do you mean Walmart? If so, I love the term, just never heard it called that before.

Last night my friends wrote all over my hood with their fingers after i SPECIFICALLY told them not to!! The clear coat on my tempo is horrible and needed a Polish really bad!! so they were writing into the clear coat. Well i washed the car today, and It still didnt come out. so i tried the Scratch out stuff on my hood and it looked awesome!!!!!!!
It really worked/\.. I was so ticted off becaues RED shows every inperfection in the paint!!
Thankfully it came out!

ha ha told u its good stuff and it works real good on yellow lights. i did a friend of mine who had real bad yellow lights on her '95 thunderbird and it did so good that she demanded to pay me for doing it. if the scratches came back after a few washes then you didn't get them all the way out the first time. a good hand wax like turtle wax or any carnuba is suggested after using it and then the scratches won't show back up. the scratches show when dirt fills in them. if its waxed the dirt will wash right away and the scratch won't show

^ Havnt tried it on the Tempos Head lights yet, but I will soon.
I washed the Car with Rain X Wash and wax with Carnuba beads... before I used the Scratch out.
would polishing the car with liquid ice protect the scratches like you say the wax will?

I ended up using a rubbing compound to take care of it.

Good product reviews from people we trust... very nice, I HATE looking for stuff like this and having to HOPE that it works even close to what it says on the box... I will be grabbing some next time I hit "wally world" and hopin to spruce up the finish on my somewhat dulling White Diamond 02

I've noticed some scratches/scuffs on the trunk panel (the one that doesn't yet light up ;D and has the Aurora name on it). Would the KIT Scratch Out work on the back panel, it is not really a light but looks like the covers of the brake lights? Why is the rubbing compound in the pic? Scratch Out replaces the rubbing Compound, right?

yes you can use KIT in place of any rubbing compound. the Turtle Wax rubbing compound was in the picture just because it was a similair product for more money. you can use KIT on plastic, metal, glass, chrome, etc.

It was a beautiful day out and the Aurora has been pretty dirty for a while, so I gave her a good wash with soap and water. After that I decided to try the Kit polish out on taillights and some paint scratches. For the price and considering that I only spent a few minutes hand-rubbing certain areas, I'm impressed. I would say that it's almost equivalent to clay barring your car. Here's a photo where I've done half of the trunk lid. See if you can tell which half. Note... when viewing full size image, hit control and plus on your keyboard to zoom in and ctrl+0 (zero) to return to normal zoom and half the taillight This is after washing the car and then simply applying Kit with an old cotton t-shirt and some elbow grease for just a few minutes. No wax or anything else. It worked similarly well on the taillights and really shined up the oxidized paint on my bumper covers. (both have been replaced with sunbaked ones a fraction of a shade lighter than rest of car) Anyway, in the immortal words of Krusty the Klown... "I wholeheartedly endorse this product or event."

I can tell a huge difference Bob. The first thing I used it on was from the rear panel I bought at the salvage yard. It was in okay condition but Kit really made it shine. After it was thoroughly cleaned to begin with. then I went on to tint the whole rear deck, but alls well that ends well.
I've never actually used it on the clear coat yet but once I get a nice hand washing in I'm sure I will do so.
Thanks for adding some conclusive pictures to this thread!
