Whats up? I just recently acquired a classic '95 Aurora off of Ebay. I spent a little over $3000 for it. It has 87,000 miles on it and the interior and exterior both seem to be in good condition. I've been wanting one especially with this particular color scheme and mileage for a while but just jumped in the market to purchase recently. What I'm wondering is did I get over anxious and over spend?

overspend? $3000 for 87k Aurora doesn't seem like overspending. Then again it's the '95 model which tends to have a little more problems here and there - esp. those solenoids in the transmission... but still, assuming it's in pretty good shape, and especially the colors you wanted, sounds like you got a pretty good deal for a full size luxury V8.

Thanks. Initially that was what I was thinking. But after winning the bid I suddenly felt the dreaded buyers remorse. I wish I could of found a deal like this locally because as soon as I get my hands on it Im sure the remorse will instantly fade.

not too bad of a deal really, if it's in decent shape.

Price is just about right based on the mileage. You do have to consider additional expense as far as travel, time, ect. Keep us posted and don't worry about the money. Enjoy your Aurora !

good deal.....87,000 miles is very low for a 95!!!! if its taken care of, you should get many, many many more miles out of it(remember, it's a Northstar!!!)...and if the interior and the body and paint are in good condition you got a good deal.....of course most outsiders would think $3,000 for a 95 car is too much, but, they don't have the pleasure of driving Auroras

On the basis of this 1995 being 13 model years old, that's only about 6700 miles a year.....actually not much.

I've seen 95's go for less, but it's all about condition and previous care that the car has received. That means much more than the model year. Try to find out as much history on the car as you can, and start thinking about the 100k mile service items (spark plugs & wires, coolant flush, tranny fluid flush maybe, etc). Not to say your car will need all those things, but they will all help the car go even longer and may or may not have been done yet by previous owner(s).
