The headlights on my 2000 GMC were getting a bit cloudy. I saw an advertisement for Meguiar's Headlight Restoration Kit on TV the other day. So today I swung by O'Reilly Auto Parts and picked up a kit for $21.99.
I was very pleased with the results. There was a big difference between the lens I buffed and the one I didn't. Only took me a few minutes to do both lenses.
The kit comes with a buffing pad, compound, and a micro fiber cloth. The cloth was a bonus because you really don't need it to do a good job. All you need is a drill. There is enough compound for multiple uses.
Overall it wasn't too expensive, it was very easy to do and didn't cost too much either.
If you have discolored lenses I highly recommend this product.

thanks for sharing... any good for aurora headlights? The kit is supposed to be good for several types of plastic. The headlight lenses on my 1999 Aurora are as clear as the day it was new. So I don't know if an Aurora would need it?

I didn't do any before or after pics. There was a very noticeable difference though between a buffed lens and the unbuffed lens.

Sounds worth it to me. I hate clouded lights.

The headlights on my STS are very clearly clouded. I will have to pick up some of this and see what it does for me. If I remember I might even get some pictures.

any cutting compound for buffing will do the same as the meguiars kit. you just need the right pad / buffing ball as they provide and your good to go
