The hinge on my 02 Aurora center console cover has broken and I have had zero luck in finding a replacement. It doesn't appear that I will; so, has anyone found a way of repairing it or perhaps some sort of durable hardware fix for this?

I had the same thing happen. I was able to make a hinge. There's a sketch of it below. You need some 1/16" thick sheet metal, screw eyes small enough to just let the pin that's at the back of the bin slide through & some epoxy. I cut and bent a piece of sheet metal to the shape needed. Then I drilled a hole in the back of the lid & fastened the piece of metal with a nut & bolt as shown. I took a nail of the same diameter as the pin to line up the screw eyes with the other hinge that was still in place (the right side broke off). I put the screw eyes through holes I had drilled & put some epoxy around them. I let the glue dry overnight. I put the lid back on & it worked out fine. (I am able to do things like this because I have a vast collection of fasteners. I also have a lot of that size of sheet metal, and many years of experience making various items).

There is parts for it, I believe it is gmpartsdirect.com and should still have some. My mechanic brokemy trim on the foot board, and my trunk button, and had them replace with no trouble for getting the interior parts. Butsome items are going obsulete. Check around. Mine is broken too but have not had the chance to fix it yet.
