I recently bought a 98 with the following symptoms: 1. Turn light switch to manually turn on lights does not work (has twighlight setting, when turning switch it is apparent that it doesn't work). 2. Taillights do not come on at night with the headlights. 3. Dash lights do not come on (only affecting speedometer, fuel gauge, etc. directly above the steering wheel, other lights such as radio and time display work fine). 4. Right turn signal often will not blink.
I was considering starting with trying to fix the light switch problem and would appreciate advice on what that involves or suggestions as to whether there may be another cause for the taillights and dash light problem.

1. not really sure there, could be the something wrong with the stalk or some wiring issues.
2. First thing there, check the brake light bulbs, does your 3rd brake light come on at all? (the one mounted to the rear deck). Check your running lights at the back too. (ie no brakes, just headlamps on)
3. There is a wheel on the left of the steering wheel called interior lights, that controls the brightness of the dash lights
4. Probably a bad turn signal relay
