I need to change my front driver hub assembly and I am wondering if any of you know how or what has to be done regarding this change. I know that when I changed the rear brakes I needed a special tool to reseat the caliper piston. Are there any special tools I need for this job!? This should take care of my lingering brake/ABS/engine code issues. As a checklist I have changed (brake related) 4 sets of rotors/pads (x drilled and slotted with ceramics) 1 Master cylinder 1 main brake line 1 ETCBM And now the hub to clear the open or shorted P0025 code Anyone wanna lend a hand?

Mine is a 1996 and I understand from alldata that a special tool is required to seperate the hub and bearing from the drive axle No. J-28733-B More info available on request via e-mail.

Interesting development.
No more ABS light. Methinks the ETCBM was also helping to throw the T0025 error code (open or shorted left front WSS)

JimW, did you have to replace the front hub or has the issue self corrected? From the sound of the last post it sounds as if it self corrected. Was wondering about the front hub myself when my sons car had the chirping right front wheel although the rotor seems to have fixed that issue.

At one point, I thought I had 2 issues. 1. Faulty ETCBM 2. T0025 (open or shorted left front WSS) After driving around for the better part of a week now with the donor ETCBM the ABS dash light has not come on. I am thinking the car needed to learn the new brake module and then self corrected the open sensor issue. All of this AFTER I spent $230 on the spindle itself. So, I have an extra just in case now!
