Have any of you all on the forum own or have used a Power Probe III? It looks like a nice product. Here are some of it's functions: Power Probe III Combo Kits Replacement Parts Lead Sets Video - Over view Mode Videos Probe Tip Extention Crackling Sound... Use the hot lead and ground lead simultaneously to activate components right in your hand. Instantly check components for continuity as well as identify positive, negative and open circuits without re-polarizing hook-up clips. Locate shorts without wasting fuses. The 20ft lead will allow you to test bumper to bumper without jumper leads. Audio tone indicates positive with a high pitched tone and negative by a low pitched tone. The audio feature can be disabled when testing relays! The Power Probe III has 2 cool white LED’S that flood the work area with bright light. The housing is sleek and feels great in your hand. This sounds like a nice tool for the toolbox.

It sounds good but I'm sure it's way overpriced. If I needed that much more functionality than a regular DMM to track down noisy connections, I'd probably rather use an oscilloscope. That gives you a quantitative result, where this device is just qualitative. It will tell you something's bad, but not exactly how bad. For about $50 I might consider it. Judging by the hype on the website I'd guess they want many times that. Not even gonna ask lol.

Meh... about the price of a decent meter I guess. If I were a mechanic it would probably be pretty convenient to have. For my limited testing needs I'll make do with my $30 DMM.

i own one, these are awesome tools, i had a power prob 2 for a couple years, then upgraded to the three. one of my favorite features is the fact it has a volt meter built in, and you can apply a ground or a hot with the push of a button
