well a good friend of mine needs me to pick his mom up in Alabama and bring her here. we are going to Gulf Shores which is 750 miles one way. he's paying for gas, food and oil change. i have to call my PO and tell her about it. we are leaving wednesday night the 3rd and gonna get back just in time for a superbowl party @ another friend's house sunday afternoon.
picking up some shrimp while we're down there and maybe try to catch a small gator lol. unfortunately gonna have to take my dog. we're bringing back a 31" tv, another lap dog and his mom. its gonna be a little cramped.
honestly i'm worried my car will break down. the longest trip i've had in it was to kansas city and back (300 round trip) and it nearly overheated but that was before i found out my overflow cap was cracked. just gonna take extra oil and water just in case.
i'm gonna run premium like always and use the cruise control. should see what kind of mpg she gets, i know it won't be too bad. just hope the roads stay clear cause we had about 8 inches of snow here this weekend but its already melting and gonna be in the mid 40's by wednesday. i also found a way to use the 4" oem elbow on the big cone i'm running without cutting more holes. she will be breathing better than ever!
pics coming soon ;D

I know the 2nd gen's can handle long road trips easy.
my baby handled my 1200k km trip with a breeze and then stuck in traffic for 2 hours before I could her off, the temp never moved and she was still full on oil ( I was having oil issues at that time ) but it was fine I was amazed at how well it did, hope yours does it good too

according to car fax, my car spent the first ten years and 104,000 miles as a corporate fleet car. i know the guy i bought her from was a traveling salesman, i figure most of her life has consisted of road trips.

Great pics Lance!!! I really liked the old Spanish fort. Really cool! I also really like the beach shot and how the blue tint changes the colors in the pic! It makes for a neat pic!
Did you see any alligators?

robaurora01 - I think the Spanish fort was surrounded by the sand dunes that are illegal to walk on.
Sure would have been cool to check out!
