it is 65 and sunny today with hardly a cloud in the sky so i just had to get my car shining. with the economy the way it is, you want a clean car for less and i have the solution! just go to your nearest Dollar General or Family Dollar, Dollar Tree etc. and pick up a big can of knock off lemon Pledge. read the side of the can to make sure it will clean everything you need.
this Dollar General brand furniture polish says its recommended for all painted surfaces, stainless steel, chrome, plastic, glass, leather, vinyl and of course wood. this 12.5 oz can will be more than enough to clean every inch of your car minus the carpet. i cleaned my center console, door panels, dash gauges, windows and the entire outside of the car.
it is formulated with special stuff to repel dust so your interior will stay cleaner, longer. i found that it does an adequate job of removing scuffs on seats and door panels. it gives the whole interior a nice clean smell and a touch of overall shiny appearance, but noit so much as to cause glare on windows. if lemon scent is not your thing it comes in unscented and orange.
it did an awesome job of sparkling up my chrome wheels. just keep several terry cloths at hand. when it came to the paint, it acted much like any spray wax would, requiring a gentle dry buff with a clean towel. i used old bathroom towels. i just wash them every so often.
of course the water will really bead on the car now. it cleans glass just fine, but you will need several dry clean towels to buff out streaks. this is a must try folks. for less than the price of any leather cleaner or spray wax alone you can clean the whole car; wheels, tires, glass, paint, seats, dash, console & engine bay.
i used it on my rear inside door glass just to get doggie nose prints off. i don't know if i'd use it on the inside windshield unless you are prepared to do a lot of buffing / turning the towel over. it's pretty good on outside glass though, acting like Rain X.
