I have been hearing this clicking noise coming from my front right wheel.
I know this much, it's not the brakes, had them done about the same time I started hearing this noise.
It's not my custom wheels, because I heard the same noise with my OEM wheels.
My guess is that it could be the inner hub bearings, but I don't know how often do this things start to act up, or when is time to change them.
I'm at 62,000 miles, so it makes sence for me to look into the inner bearings in that wheel.
What do you guys think, or has anybody experience this in the past or dealt with it.
Also a final question, the inner bearings wouldn't be covered under warranty right?.

Javidogg - Does the clicking increase with speed? Does it go away when you apply the brakes? Bearings usually whine, but CV joints usually click. Check if the clicking becomes more prominent when you turn the wheels SLIGHTLY.

Sounds like CV to me, I am quite certain all wheel bearings are packed into the wheel hub. Dont I know about that

The clicking noise starts or I'm able to hear it when I apply the brakes like at a stop light.
But it's not a real loud clicking, it feels more like, whne you have a nail on your tire, and you drive around with it, that sound click, click, and I don't hear it when I turn. That's what makes me think it's something more internally, the boot or CV joint you usually hear it when turning, so I think it's not that.

I just heard the same noise, from the same tire the other day. I heard when pulling out of a parking spot, so I wasnt going more than 3-5mph, then I heard it when pulling into my garage, again at 3-5mph. I thought it was the center cap might have been loose but no...I thought maybe cracked CV. Havent really herard it anymore tho....who knows

1badaurora - You probably have a pebble stuck in one of your tire treads.
javidogg - You mentioned hearing the sound at a stoplight. Could you please clarify - do you hear the clicking while coming to a stop, or while you're stopped completly?

I hear that clicking noise when applying the break, when coming to a stop at a light or stop sign.
It's weird because, I also noticed that when the car is cold, I don't notice the noise. but when it get's hot I hear the noise, so now it's making me think that it could be the disc in the wheel.

unfortunately its not a pebble...it does it when wheels are turned, I've had CV joint issues b4 on a Civic, so I recognize the sound.

javidogg - You beat me to my diagnosis. It does sound like one of the following is happening: a. your pads were changed but not the rotors or opposite b. your brakes need a cleaning c. your rotors are warping. IMO "a" is your best bet, then "b" then "c".
1badaurora - Ah the dreaded CV click...are any of the CV boots torn?

Aa a matter of fact, the last time I changed my front brakes I only replaced the pads, so it could be the rotors.

Okay, finally his problem was fixed and my Aurora is back to normal.
The problem was a rear rotor was bad, it had a hole in there, about the size of a U.S. Quarter, my brother-in-law was going to cut or resurface the rotor, but he said that, if he did that it would of taken out a lot of the rotor to smooth it out, so I just went with new rotors in the rear, so let me tell you, the Aurora runs smooth now, like butter, I had lost that feeling of when you apply the brakes and it comes to a stop real smooth and quiet.
All I can say is it feels good to be back to normal. I can't wait to bring out the summer chrome wheels.

ive had that same noise... like a thumping click when your hitting the brakes. i also had a problem with the right control arm bushing. does anyone know what i need to do about this. the A-arm like where it connects to in the front where the bushing is, its at a slant, the driver side is straight and it sounds like a 4X4 when u go down the road, it makes a deeper rumble when u slightly turn the wheels to the right. id appreciate it if someone could help me out. thanks

So yeah check those things out and ket us know what are your findings. [glow=red,2,300]Javi.[/glow]

yeah my front rotors were warped and it made that same sound for a while. I bet the tire inbalance couldnt have helped either...but I had Brembo OE Replacement Rotors put on. They prolly arent any better than ACDelcos but they were $4 more so what the heck....
