well, today i was driving up a fairly steep hill, i had a little peddle pressure since the speed limit was only 35, then all of a sudden i started hearing a "pop", i'm assuming my car was backfiring through the throttle body, but why? could it possibly be the FPR? or does it need new plug wires.

wires wires wires. mine was doing it too. make sure you have ACDelco Platinum plugs and ACDelco wires. Any other brand of plugs / wires will not work right and could possibly cause damage.

I read in the Aurora production booklet that the injectors are self cleaning. I yet to read about any serious injector problems on the Aurora (here anyway)

The guys at the shop actually said they were having problems with the #5 fuel injector, then it just started working again but oh well, aparently it wasn't bad enough that it needed replacing.

You migh have just witnessed the #5 injector quitting. That royally sucks especially considering that you just put almost a grand into it.

Hmm, i wonder if i need any special tools to swap an injector. it's really wierd though, cause i can feel it on the gas peddle, it feels as if something was binding an pushing back, but i'm pretty sure it's a backfire of some kind. I'm thinkin' that i'm going to go back to the shop that worked on my car, also my valvetrain belts are squeeking (even after the car gets to operating temp), and i sure as hell don't want those slipping, especially since it started after i got it back from them.

Hmm, I still had one lock up last Fall... although the shop was able to get it going again with a $200 pressure-cleaning, in lieu of replacing the injector (which my warranty would have covered, of course ).
