hey i have a question, i was looking at a diagram of a radiator on a few websites, well, i know they come in a few different ways, you can buy the core, which my core is perfectly fine, or the whole radiator, i have found where you can also buy the tanks, which is what is wrong with mine, the passanger side tank has a crack. my question is can i just replace the tank since that is all that's wrong with it? also how difficult would it be? here is a link incase I didn't explain it well, heh. they sell the piece for it so i'm assuming i could just by that

Your best bet would be to replace the entire radiator. My experience with radiators is that when one part of a radiator goes bad, the rest is not far behind. ______________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

When the original radiator on my '69 Exective went bad, I pulled it myself and had a shop check it for signs of life. They told me they could replace the core and repair the tank leaks if I didn't want to buy a whole new radiator... it's just a matter of welding the tanks to the core, but I don't know about the actual process for a DIY'er. I ended up buying an aftermarket radiator and installing it myself for less than the shop quote to fix my original. But that was on a car that is much easier to work on than our Auroras.
