Greetings, I have a '95 Aurora with lots of mileage. Does anyone know where the speed sensor is located. My cruise control is intermittent. Sometimes, it works correctly. More often, it will engage at 2 or 3 mph below its "set" speed, then 15 seconds later it starts surging the engine "looking" for its set speed. Other times, it just refuses to engage. It tends to work best after going through the car wash... can the sensor need a cleaning? The dash mounted speedometer has no problems. Thanks in advance, Keith.

Sorry, It's a 1995, no Autobahn, original engine, original trans, heavily maintained Aurora. I am guessing that the speed sensor must be in a spot where the car wash hits it. This has been going on for about 200,000 miles now. Warranty replaced the cruise servo at about 60,000 miles. Worked better for a while, but still not right. Just like the gas gauge, had it fixed a couple of times, but it still is just not working well enough to trust it. Thanks for your help. Keith
