Hi Here are the codes from the computer: 125 A/C switch 29 Shift Ratio B Problem 39 Torque Convertor Clutch 37 MAT high or shorted 47 BCM to PCM Data Problem Found out from sales rep we have an extended warranty to cover the powertrain. Thanks for all your help. I have a 95 with a tranny problem. 95 - 4L second owner - 200000 KMs roughly - ABS disabled can't afford new front right ABS sensor. I was going 110 Kph on the highway yesterday and suddenly I had no power. The Revs went up but the car slowed down. The service engine light was on but no codes showed - monitored systems OK? I pulled off the hwy and shut the car off. I checked the fluid levels and they were fine. I started the car again and the light was off. When I drove in 1st-3rd everything was fine. When I put it in drive though everything is OK till I get above 80KPM the it conks out with the service engine light without codes on the display. HELP !!!! I can't afford a new tranny right now. What is wrong

You'll have to get it looked at, if there is anything wrong with the tranny, a pro should look at it, I don't think that the average shade tree mechanic should mess with a tranny, esp. one with all kinds of electronics and solenoids in it. It could be major but then again it could be a bad solenoid that'll cost you a few hundred as opposed to a few grand for a tranny.

Could also have something to do with the abs being disconnected. With the convoluted computers in them cars can be pretty finnicky. What about an ABS sensor from the wreckers?? You might just get lucky and find one.

Sounds to me like a speed sensor. I say that because your tranny downshifted by itself. I believe that speed sensors are relattively cheap, but the labor is a witch.
Do you have Cottman transmissions up in canada?

Guessing will only get you so far - get the car scanned for codes and go from there. Good luck.

I dont think the WSS problem is related to the sudden power loss. The tranny problem could be the torque converter, with 200 000kms that could definitely be a potential problem.
As for the WSS, the part is about $250 dollars if you get it outside of the dealer. Labour is intensive but do-able, if you have the parts. Before we get to off topic with regard to the WSS, get that tranny looked it.
My guess is the TCC.
