I have a 98 aurora. When I Park with the car running my headlights won't turn off, They used too. Now I have to turn the car off to turn my headlights off anybody got any suggestions? thanx in advance. also my mirror still doesn't go down when I reveerse that use to work as well any body can help I appreciate it...

You have the twilight sentinal on. To turn the lights off when you are parked, rotate the twilight sentinal wheel all the way down until it clicks.

how long has it been doing this? Even in direct, bright sunlight they will not turn off?

make sure your main headlight switch is off, then after your in park turn you sentinals all the way on then all the way off to reset it. this is what works for me.

also my mirror still doesn't go down when I reveerse that use to work as well any body can help I appreciate it... Check the switch position of your mirror adjustment controls... I believe if it is moved all the way to the right, it disables the auto-tilt-in-reverse feature. If you put it back in the middle or left, the feature should work. As far as headlights, can you tell if your lights (that are staying on) are the full-power lights or the half-power DRL's (daytime running lamps)? If they are DRL's you can disable that feature altogether by pulling a plug in the engine compartment.
