I would pay you to do that to my Panel! How hard was it to get the sequential module? Also I like your handy work, it looks professionally done!

why thank you gentleman ya, it was all a bit of Labor. but a Labor of love! so it reduced the strain. i'm not a restrained or moderate type of person, so i just went full tilt! i really like the abundance of the wood grain stuff, i think it look's so opulent (it's a shame my camera does it no justice)! this is the site for the wood grain (many types) (they also have a nice gloss black to do them worn out ext trim posts) www.metrorestyling.com/category-s/1228.htmthis is for the Sequential lights, i used the STS-3MP kit www.webelectricproducts.com/

Tipsy, what kind of spoiler is that? I'm thinking of going to the yard tomorrow and testing a few spoilers on one of their Auroras, but I'm really liking how the one you have looks! Also thinking of re-attempting those sequential lights, since the LED's don't really show through the blacked out tails all too well...

In my opinion, all of that woodgrain just begins to look tacky. I see it as an accent, and when you've got it covering almost everything, then it just looks strange the places it ISN'T covering. And, quite honestly, it looks like a camo pattern from the pics. Of course, only my opinion. I just like to rain on parades, Tipsy. No doubt that you've done some excellent work, though!

your not raining on my parade, bro! thats your opinion, and i respect that. i just think "stock" is boring, and mundane. when i used to customize vans in the 70's. over the top was the way to go, so i guess i'm still of that mind set. i don't want what everybody else has, and conforming with the "herd" ain't my style ;D so it's full tilt tacky, for me! not to try to justify myself, but these were taken with a much better camera then mine. and i think it shows the depth of color better without the heightened intensity of a flash.

here's some more tackiness for everybody! ;D i lost the aptly named, "smurf blue" and went with a better matched metallic blue, painted the radiator cover, and added the "oldsmobile" badge "aurora" gone, and old school rocket badge!

I think you're right. Those do look better, and I think especially the wood grain looks higher quality. Thanks for sharing that. I'm interested to hear about the van customizing days. I've always told myself that if I come across an extra $25k or so I'm going to buy an old conversion van and set it up to go to sound competitions.

holy crap... a little ocd on the wood? & you think my chrome gas lid is too much!? lmao. the pillars look good. thats on my to do list. i never quite understood putting a tiny air filter on a v8 though. cold air or not kinda defeats the purpose. you covered the key hole! why not put the badge up a hair in that black area? you might regret that if the trunk button fails

found my next "OCD" project............LOL. i'm so sick of looking at the very dull pillar, and front and rear trim piece's! tire shine is useless, waxing also. and painting/top coat is too much fuss for me. got this in the mail today, and looks like a good solution. it's a high durability, high gloss 3M DI-NOC vinyl wrap. (ya my camera sucks) to further enhance my disorder, i'm going to try to emulate the "glass-roof aurora" with a black roof scheme. theres a video showing a mini cooper, getting a carbon fiber vinyl wrap, treatment on the roof. .................so, why not go with the black for mine! it'll only be 60 bucks for the size i need to do it with i don't know i'm just enthralled with how that looks! and really want it on mine OCD, here we go again...........................

Do the spoiler black like that! Will look sort of like the Charger R/T daytona models. ooh, i like that idea and i only have to paint the top half! (when i put it on, i didn't have that much body color paint!) so the bottom is already black lol, lol, ;D

so............. ;D last week my wife pulls up in the driveway in her 01, and franticly waves at me to come out! with a real stoic look as i stood shaking my head NO! at the window.(it's raining cat's and dog's! so i ain't going out there) well then she comes bounding in telling me the back window "just fell down"! bummer!!! looks like i'm going out there after all............LOL so i grabed a hand full of towels, and out the door i went. got the window up by hand, and slopped up the water! well, we all know where this is leading right? falling window syndrome!got out there today and this is what i found. looks like the "up' side of the cable ripped from it's mooring. turned out to be an easy fix! after i got the mechanism out, all i had to do was find new way to secure it to the mount! you can see the where it used to sit in that noch, and up through the slot. well seems the slot broke, and it poped out. looking at the rest of the stress cracks in the plastic, just a matter of time before it brakes again! so all i did for now was this! it now go's up and down and all that.
