Haha thanks guys, yea i cant wait till i can drive her again. But also the most nerve racking part is first start up, having to turn over the engine to prime the oil system is the part i guess i worry most in lol. And will most defiantly record the first start up.
Hoping to get the other head on Tuesday and then its just timing left ;D

Been busy with work so a little delayed update. So in my day off this week i got the timing done and chains on, on the head installed. The reason the other head is not installed yet is because, I messed up and misdrilled a hole. The top left one on the left bank with the aliment pin, well long story short I'm waiting on a non shouldered stud so it will fit. Lower primary chain on Upper installed thanks for viewing

Thats what i thought too, but there really slippery and tough feeling. I'm guessing there nylon, witch is a solid lubricant. Ill post some pics of the old ones with 146,000 on them, they are not really worn as much as you would think.

thanks for the compliments ;D well after long awaited parts never arrived decided to just machine the studs myself. Not too hard, just had to remember how too. it had been awhile, but not to bad i think. That allowed me to install the rear head, then messed with timing and finally got it all to line up. Got another day off tomorrow so hopefully will finish it up. Also had the valve covers sand blasted, am going with the black paint on rear cover and silver on front cover like factory...but i am going to polish the ridges and the 4.0l DOHC 32 VALVE so there like a mirror finish thanks for viewing

Looks great! Make sure you clear coat that polished aluminum so it doesn't tarnish.

I wasn't sure clear coat would hold up due to heat. Yes deleting the egr will throw a code. Mine was already not working and the pipe split. The benefits to it are less top end carbon, only fresh air into the engine, slight more power (probably not even noticeable ) and money and time saved. Ive had it deleted for about 12,000 miles on the LSS with no ill effects. Well today i got the engine installed ;D My chain hoist broke so i had to borrow an engine lift from a Friend. Had to use a jack to raise the subframe so the engine lift would fit under, yea i know its alittle redneck. Halfway in INSTALLED Oh and i noticed my cat looked clogged so i went ahead and cut it off lol May put another one on later. thanks for viewing

Yea I'm pretty ready, its hard not to be inpatient.
Yesterday i got the calipers, intake, the rest of the wiring, flex plate to tuque converter bolts, coils, water pump belt, and ac lines done. still waiting on the alternator to be done so i put all that on too. Pics will follow in a few days.
thanks

No problem, i love doing it. Well i got the engine all installed and... started it up, took a few seconds to prime the oil pump but once that was good she started on the second try. now all i have to do is fix the brake caliper, install hood, fix rad hose leak and change the oil. but sadly it going to be next Wednesday before all that is done, i have a busy work schedule this week. i will post some pics and videos of start up in the next couple days.
thanks
