HF Welder

Anyone have any experience with Harbor Freight Welders? Specifically this one:

I am thinking about getting one. The reviews are so so. Four out of 5 stars but they are either highly rated or horribly rated.

The main issue I have is I don't have a 240 hook-up in my garage only standard 120 outlets. I have thought about it adding an outlet and circuit to breaker box but not wanting to. So this welder will work with current setup.

I just want it for basic use to mend or assemble little projects and it's always fun to learn new things. There are even a few mods you can do them upgrade cooling fan etc.

Sara's dad has a 120 HF welder and he likes it, but he doesn't use it much. I know he's had it a couple years but has only used it a handful of times. Sorry I can't be more help!

I bought one about 2 years ago..and it works great for small jobs .like fixing a lawn mower,,snowblower..just dont use the wire that comes it..Its garbage!! go out and buy some lincoln wire..I use my all the time..

I'm going to pick one up this evening as I will need it to tack up torque-axis mount when I reload it with new insert! I know someone who works there that will let me get the extra 20% off the sale price since they don't take the 20% off on welders, boo, but hell yea for friends who can help out haha.

Sure thing. Ended up paying $82.71 out the door. Still need to go to Lowes and get some Lincoln wire though.
