I don't know for sure. He had 'em in his shop for a long time n wasn't really sure himself. They are polished stainless though.

Thanks, I wanted to do away with it but wouldn't have had much ground clearance. It does good when the pipe warms up though. I have noticed in some Pontiacs they started putting the exhaust over the trans instead of in between. I don't think we have enough room for that, though. Seems like there is not much that can be done about that choke pipe, lol. Very sweet! The exhaust bolts on quite nicely and it tucks under your car like it was made for dual exhaust. I want some now. lol

I was considering doing this, does it really feel any better? throttle response or acceleration....? I'm not sure that the stock setup is actually a restriction and I don't really like the way it sounds to be honest. what brand mufflers do you have on there? And is it 2" pipe, or 2.5"?

2" I have Magnaflow's on it; and yes it has much more torque and scavenges better.

If you don't like the sound and wanna do it I would recommend resonators. I think it sounds great, it is too many decibels for the microphone on the phone to record but it has a little deeper sound in person. Anyway you wouldn't have any cackle with resonators and less with catalytic converters. I don't have any because they hold heat in your manifolds and we don't have E-check.

Yeah I am envious of you non-inspection and emission states.

Sounds really good, looks good too. You would have plenty of clearance space if you did away with the crossover pipe, I've already looked into it and determined it would be ok. In fact, there was a Lucerne that D3 Cadillac did up with headers and a revised crossover pipe and I have pictures of the setup, you can clearly tell he had no issues with this setup.
What is that last picture of with the two flanges? Where is that at?

Thanks, that is looking straight up at where the y pipe was. My driveway is really bad and I was worried about beating the exhaust up. I also occasionally drive my car in our field, but I'm sure it'd be fine on roads. I just couldn't afford a 2 1/2" ground clearance loss here in the hills lol.

I noticed you were able to cram the 2 2" pipes into that rear subframe/tunnel area... You suppose you could fit 2 2.5" pipes through there? That was something I was wondering when I was planning out my exhaust... You managed to pull it off to where the pipes look like they run side by side right through the tunnel there, that's the look I would be going for to.
Either way, you need to get more videos! In and out of the car, it truly does sound really good.

Maybe 2.25" but I had 2 2.5" on with flex pipe and the 2" is much better and way easier to fit. They won't fit in between the back half pipe area. 2.25" might fit though. My brother-in-law thought 2.25" might be too big for the small displacement. If you are making headers with a larger collector and larger displacement it would work really well. I drove all the way to Ohio for the exhaust ;D I tried making another video with my camera but my phone seems to pick sound up better. The camera only picked up the high pitched noises

If I had my old aurora still I would consider doing this haha. I don't know, going from quiet, to straights, and then after my accident back to quiet, I almost don't want to go loud again haha.
I want to get a second Aurora and do exactly what you're doing haha. Then I would have one DD aurora cruiser, and one Weekend aurora performance beast haha.

ha ha ha go figure! they probably have no idea what you are even driving. in the 5 or 6 years of owning mine, i have only really been in one serious street race. it was a '99 or so year ram-air NHRA edition WS6 T/A ( i know because i saw the emblem on its bumper as it gradually pulled away ;D ;D) and they followed me for several miles (night time) before deciding to run 'em. at that time i did not have a complete performance exhaust, only a gutted cat. i don't think i have to tell you who won. the WS6 is a wicked machine, more powerful and lighter on its feet than the aurora. evenso, from 0-100ish, it only pulled 1 & 1/2 car lengths or about 25-35 feet on me.
you have a truly unique ride...you should do like i suggested on youtube - wet sand that puppy with 1,000 or higher paper and buff her out. spray paint CAN look good!

I sprayed it with a good sprayer and it took me several hours, it was late October last year and like 70 degrees. Then it got down to about 40 and all the paint condensed and that's why it looks like it does. I was very upset. I've been thinking of adding about 3 clear coats and sanding it out of them but I gotta have the time to do it. I really had the worst luck ever when I was painting it, everything went wrong so I just let it go for now as atleast it won't rust.
The poor car went through a fence so I had a lot of body work to fix. I also removed the trim from the doors so it looks a little more sporty.

Go on YouTube and look at their 0-80 runs in comparison to mine, I really believe its a little over 300 hp. I am hoping to get it tuned here soon and maybe I could beat a ws6 ;D

Well I was thinking about nitrous too ;D haha. I think it'd be really close to a non ws6. I just can't get my wife on the same page, she thinks nitrous is worthless.

Got around to getting a decent video done , but the sound of a creek running is pretty loud disrupting the sound a little bit. I need to get a good video camera. Next I think I'll show how fast the tach revs, it hit rev limiter in this video. youtu.be/wcDTpWvL0U8

That thing actually does sound like it has a little lope to it... Sounds pretty good, that second video was better. I've got flowmaster delta flows on my Aurora now, but they're too loud. I want to have something quiet at idle and cruising speed but a little bit of grunt or noise when I get on it. Maybe I'll try and go with the 2.25" duals.
On a 2.3 Quad 4, 2.5" is the ideal size to run even stock N/A, it's dyno proven. I just figured the Aurora would be the same way (with a 4.6).

I thought the same, but he had 2.5" on his Camaro and that thing is pretty bad. He said it's built for 400hp ;D

Can you post a different 0-60 video? The one you have just shows the dash and not the road. If we could see the road it would be easier to determine your time. Not saying this about you, but anyone could post a vid of them going downhill or something and say they have a faster car by only filming the gauges.
