What is the max rpm our cars shift at? If no one else does before I get a chance I will record my code/sensor reader at 1st gear shift point and see what it reaches.

That's what I was thinkin via rpm gauge, but it seems most of us don't know exactly what it actually is. You might have a better source than the visual gauge.

Well I didn't want to speculate that mine shift at or past 6,200 without proof. You can clearly see in my 0-80 video it buries past 6k, I thought it was about 6,200. I just finished checking with my phone and scan tool. I will pull a frame from the video and post a pic. I'm am not sure what it hit yet but it may have been 6,300.

Yep, cheapest one they have. I don't have any other way to prove it.

I believe the shiftpoint for WOT is 6100rpm. My tune from Westers has mine shifting at about 7200 I think ; )... Thanks to upgraded valve springs from CHRFAB and my built lower end...
Alan from CHRFAB told me that the springs will rev up to 7500 if not higher I believe... I went with the conservative figure of 7200, should be plenty to rev out...

WOW, thanks man. I was worried about that a little. Valve float will destroy it. Edit: I read that wrong lol. I wonder what the factory springs would rev to? The Aerotech revved to 7,200 I think on factory springs.
On another note you'd have to ride in my car to understand what I mean when I say. I don't think it is the computer allowing it, I think the motor is "getting ahead of the computer" and by that I mean sometimes, but not all the time. It will rev to 6,200-6,300. It's like it hits that before the command is sent to shift. 1st gear happens so fast it gets away with that. I think, and it does not do it on any other gear either.

Also it doesn't hit that every time, seems only from WOT from a dead stop.

I am wanting mine to rev to 6,900-7,200. Haven't made my mind up yet..

Might shift higher in gear, haven't paid that much attention. No load neutral RPM is 5950, and there isn't a chance the motor is getting ahead of the computer. It literally can't. If the engine is out of sync with the computer it won't fire the plugs or open the injectors at the right time, meaning it would backfire instantly and a backfire at 6000rpms means one dead motor.

I meant the command being sent to the shift solenoid. If it is possible that the engine will climb until the next gear is fully initiated.

In (D) pedal floored mine shifts at 5800, shifter held in (1), pedal floored and allowed to shift on it's own it goes slightly past redline.
