I'm not sure if anyone was aware of this as I am a new member and I checked in the search but did not see "madtuner" vendor listed in the history. I recently pickedup this Aurora in place of my supercharged Regal GS, so I always have the "modbug". I been doing a search for tuning this car, HPtuners turned me down, so did PCM's for less and I couldnt find anything else listed that can do it. I came across "Madtuner" and e-mailed him. He stated he is 3-4 weeks out from completing a way to tune 96-03 Aurora's with the 4.0. He stated the only thing he cannot do at the moment is change cooling fan options or VATS. But he stated in this month time period he will post what he can offer, such as shift skips, trany firmness, air/fuel adjustments etc.. I think this is great news and tuning this out of factory restricted motor with a nice tune could result in 10 or so wheel HP/TQ. Just thought I'd give a update and see anyones thoughts on this.

It'd be great to be able to raise shift points & get rid of the top speed limiting.

I remember seeing you on here before. See your still on the job, good to know!! How cool would that be to have a tuned pcm on an aurora. Hope it turns out great. We will be waiting anxiously, and patiently.

I think madtuner can swap pcms with yours while he tunes it...but ud hafta do a VATs relearn...i dont know a thing about that, but it takes no tools and apparently its easy to do.

I have been working with Ion at Madtuner for years. Tom was at Ion's recently or maybe his plan was to meet up today.

I looked at Wester's Garage website, but I don't see any listing for tuning available on 01-03 Aurora's. It seems he can only tune the classics.

They a Wester's Garage dealer. Descriptions and pricing are the same, including the erroneous 3.42 FDR (should be 3.48). They just added the newer years on. Also curious, on Wester's site when adding to cart, the 96-99 or the Shelby, the Shelby is the one added for both. Maybe Wester's hasn't updated (4/12) their page in this area. Couldn't find an update notification for NYC.

That is what I was going to say about NYC, they are a Westers dealer. If you want info, just email Westers, he is a nice guy and I am sure he would be glad to help you. Chances are if NYC has the 2G listed, Westers can do it. I don't see anything wrong with madtuners site, either. Email them both, you will get the real answers from them, not from us. If you are serious about getting a tune, just pick up a spare computer off of ebay or a salvage yard, then you can send one in, I bet they are a dime a dozen. If I had the money I would do it. Everyone acts like this is a big deal when it isn't. If you want a tune, pay the money, send it in, get it done, it's that simple. There is no question to me that Westers can tune our pcms, with or without proof, I can tell by my spidey sense.
