While I was up in Dickson City today with my wife I found this car parked next to us. Anyone on here own this or have any idea who it belongs to? Didn't get the license plate or anything creepy like that. But the missing paint over the gas cap should be specific enough. This got me to wondering who all on here is in the NEPA region? I used to not see many Aurora's here but I've now found a few in the area finally. Really digging the chrome looking rims. Look way better than the plain stock ones on mine.

Makes me wonder how many are up there! I think ever since I owned mine, I've only seen a small handful of Aurora's (less than 10..) They're quite rare, and none of them are in good shape

They aren't a very common car at all. They must be more common up here though, I've seen more than 10 lol. I think one is for sale nearby, not sure on the condition as its been sitting on a lot for probably at least half a year now, maybe even longer. There are two I've seen parked near me. And I remember one of the neighbor's around here had one visiting once. I haven't seen that one in a long time so I'm guessing they got rid of it or aren't around anymore for one reason or another. Awhile back someone else was parting out one, wish I would have known earlier so I could have grabbed a few parts to get mine going. I hate having one cup holder lol.

the rarity is what makes it cool to own one Bet you have at least two or three camrys within hailing distance from your house, probably a focus or two, maybe an Altima. Bet everyone you know knows you by your ride. I have a silver '02 with the chrome package. In my county, (I'm in PA too, Berks County) I've seen two other silver 2nd gens, but they've got the alloy wheels. I'm also proud to say that even with high mileage, mine's better looking (by a longshot) than either of these two. All in all, I'd say that if you're going to own one of these cars, you have to be OK with not seeing a bunch of them out there, and it helps if that's a plus. Other pluses would be a bit of mechanical knowledge, part finding ingenuity, and comfort in the knowledge that you might just know something that 99.5% of the drivers around you don't know....that you're driving one of the better American cars of it's day.
