From what I've gathered EC3 is much simpler and reliable than Viscous Torque Converters with a TCC. And I would also imagine it cuts a whole lot of weight (drag, and hp eater) out of the trans equation. The good news is our transmissions can be converted to EC3 but do require tuning afterwards. The other benefit besides rotational mass reduction, and reliability, is simplicity. All it is is a clutch that the computer controls. Here is some info on it. www.atraonline.com/gears/2008/2008-05/2008_5_6.pdfWhen I decide to rebuild my trans I will be updating to this and throwing that heavy TC in the scrap pile.
