Just followed the DIY on a CAI install for my 01 Aurora. Everything went well and it looks pretty damn good. Problem is, when I start the car, I get this obnoxious sucking noise coming from what appears to be the TB. I've installed numerous intakes before, but I've never ran into this problem. When I rev up the engine, the sucking dies down.
Anybody have any ideas? Is it just supposed to make this noise on these cars?
Thanks in advance for any help!

You're hearing the IAC (Idle Air Control valve). When you start them, especially cold, you get that "sucking" sound. It's normal. Annoying, but normal.

Guess you need a louder exhaust now!

Guess you need a louder exhaust now! Hahah I like your thinking! So I guess it's all normal then, huh? Well alright. I figured I screwed something up.

I think you're alright. It sounded to me like it made more of a sucking noise than usual after I did mine too. As long as you have everything sealed up and attached tightly you're good to go. It's pulling a lot more CFM through there, so it will be louder!

... It's pulling a lot more CFM through there, so it will be louder! Has anyone looked at the MAF data before and after doing this mod?
