Check engine light came on today. Got it scanned, code: P0443
1) Can I drive it until the end of the week when I have time to deal with this, or would that be bad?
2) Any idea as to where to start to look for the issue?
Thank you!

You will be fine driving it around. That's a code for the purge solenoid valve.

Oh OK. Thanks! Guess I'll be spending some time this weekend figuring out how to fix that. Is it something I can do myself or need to take to a shop? Appreciate the input.

this an easy job I fixed this one my self first you have to make sure if its solenoid or the plug is the issue. The way you can know if its working it will make kind of clicking noise . you can get new solenoid from rock auto make sure u get ac delco one not other once since it will not sit right and will give you light again. There is one screw on bottom holding the sensor u have to remove the plug and the tube from it. here some pix I had replace mine and the plug as well.

Awesome! Thanks for the photo's helped tremendously! I was able to locate the part, and will order an AC Delco replacement after I test it. A buddy of mine who has a Buick that had the same issue said he was able to clean his with MAF cleaner and it fixed his issue, so I guess I'll give that a try too.
Thanks again for the reply. Looks like a pretty easy job.

SO fun story... I removed the part you indicated, and tried cleaning it first vs. replacing as my mechanic buddy said a lot of times it isn't that part that causes the code (in his experience) so rather than replace it right off the bat, pull it, clean it, and replace to just see if it solves anything.
Anyways, pulled it off, but the one bolt holding it on was a bi**h to get off! Not to mention the angle to get in there was horrid. Anyways, upon re-install, the bolt is fighting me (its not cross threaded, but just tight, like it was coming off) anyways, I get it all the way on there, and then SNAP! Broke the bolt off about 1 turn away from being done, and now 3/4 of the bolt is inside the hole with no threads sticking out.
Long story short, had my buddy help me drill it out and had to tap a new hole and put a new bolt in. Re-installed the same part, back to same issue. Him and I are going to look into other possible reasons for the CEL, but we both are flying out to the same wedding of a friend of ours this week, so we decided to just tackle it when we get back.
I'll post up what I find out, but he's thinking its a part near the gas tank that is causing the issue. More later.

Well I replaced the part today and cleared the code. Ran a few minutes then CEL came on again. Same code. Now going to look into the connector. Was hoping the part would've done the trick tho!

u need to use tester to test the plug cuz maybe u got defective part as well. And when you drilled the new whole maybe something was not done correctly just the thought

UPDATE:
So I've been driving with the CEL on, just because I've been so busy with work and trips this summer, that I finally got time to look more into the issue. Turns out one of the wires at the connector was broken inside the sheathing. Did a bandaide fix and crimped them together but its not strong enough for long term, so I'll need to order a new connector and re-wire it. Driving it yesterday & today (since the fix) it seems to have fixed the issue.
Just wanted to update anyone, in case others run into the same issue.
