Just purchased a 2001 Aurora 2 months ago. Excellent shape, 40,000 miles. I was installing and PASSENGER RIGHT FRONT DOOR MODULE so I decided to disconnect the battery. When I reconnected that battery the car will not start. I tried several times to by pass the security system with the 30 min trick. No luck, the car will not start. The car has been sitting at the mechanic for 3 weeks, he is unsure . Any help is appreciated

Does it crank, but will not fire or no crank?
Do you have the normal lights on the dash?

It will not crank. What do you mean by normal lights?

Mechanic says it has nothing to do with ignition switch or cylinder. When we do the 10 mins test the security light comes on and then goes off. When you then try to restart the car after 10 the security light comes back on.

Dan's got a point, sometimes people overlook the simple things... Has he checked ALL fuses? There has to be a diagnostic chart to narrow it down. Does he have a Tech2 or good SnapOn scanner?

Don't know if issue is resolved yet as I C this was in May. But pull spark plug a turn it over 4 several sec. & C if U have gas & spark??? if missing either chk 2 C if fuel pressure in line/ @ injector, if no spark chk if scan code showes anything that could be a computer (ther r a few of them lol) if no code thn chk spark control modual is most likely the issue may be just a bad connection. If not chk the resistance on key resistor & go get a CLOSE TO PERFECT match from Radio Shack (Google Aurora sec bypass; I had to do this ) I did put a hidden switch in though. The key cylinder connection break & YOU'LL NEED either new cylender or bypass. good luck EDIT; pic resized
