On 3/24/2015, in the thread at aurorah.proboards.com/thread/29367/oil-pan-gasket-leak paulaurora said that his mechanic was able to replace the oil pan gaskets without removing the engine by cutting off the crossover pipe & then dropping the oil pan. The mechanic was then able to weld the pipe back together. Scroll down to post #5 there.

So here's a weird story for you. My low oil pressure issue went away. In the process of replacing the front motor mount with the Northstar performance mount, I decided to change my alternator while I was there. I also replaced the engine oil pressure switch because I accidentally broke it LOL. So, after replacing the alternator and the oil pressure switch, I no longer have the low oil pressure problem. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the switch as it was still happening after I had replaced it before. It turns out that a lot of my problems went away by replacing the alternator. I'm guessing that there may have been something wrong with it to the point where it wasn't putting out the proper voltage.
